Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using Caregura

Last updated: August 2026. These terms apply to all users of the Caregura application in the United States. Caregura is owned and operated by Bereavement Guide Ltd.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Caregura, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use this application.

2. User Responsibility for Content

All information entered into Caregura — including but not limited to care recipient profiles, medical details, contacts, instructions, and documents — is entered solely by you, the user. You are entirely and exclusively responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and appropriateness of all content you add, upload, or store within the application. Caregura and its creators accept no responsibility whatsoever for any information submitted by users, nor for any consequences arising from such information being incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or misused.

3. No Medical or Legal Advice

Caregura is a personal care coordination tool only. Nothing within the application constitutes medical, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. Always consult qualified professionals for medical, legal, or financial matters.

4. Data Accuracy

You are solely responsible for keeping all information stored in Caregura up to date and accurate. Caregura makes no warranty as to the accuracy or fitness for purpose of any user-submitted content. You must not store false, misleading, or unlawful information.

5. Sensitive Information

Caregura may be used to store sensitive personal and health information. You accept full responsibility for the decision to store such information within the application and for ensuring that you have the appropriate consent from any individual whose data you enter. Caregura is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA and does not provide HIPAA-protected services; you consent to storing health information in the application for your own personal coordination purposes. You must comply with all applicable federal and state data protection and privacy laws.

6. Access and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your login credentials with unauthorized individuals. Caregura accepts no liability for any unauthorized access resulting from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

7. Sharing and Inviting Carers

When you invite another person to access your Caregura account, you take full responsibility for that decision and for any actions they take within the application. Ensure you only invite individuals you trust with the sensitive information stored in your account.

8. Notifications and Emails

The email notification features within Caregura are provided as a convenience only. Caregura does not guarantee delivery of any notification or email. You must not rely solely on Caregura notifications for critical care communications.

9. Intellectual Property

Caregura is a product owned and operated by Bereavement Guide Ltd. The Caregura name, brand, and all associated intellectual property are the exclusive property of Bereavement Guide Ltd. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any part of the Caregura platform is strictly prohibited.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caregura, Bereavement Guide Ltd., its developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the application — including any losses arising from reliance on information stored within it.

11. Password Hints — Not a Password Manager

Caregura includes a feature for storing subscription and online service login details. This feature is designed to store password hints, recovery information, and access notes only — not actual passwords. You must not enter or store real passwords, PINs, or full authentication credentials in this or any other field within Caregura. Caregura is not a password manager and does not provide encrypted password vault functionality. You accept full responsibility for any credentials you choose to store and for any consequences arising from storing sensitive login information in the application.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your Caregura account is active. You may delete individual records — care profiles, contacts, instructions, documents, calendar events, and subscription logins — at any time from within the application. You may also permanently delete your entire account and all associated data at any time from the Subscription page. This action is irreversible and will remove all care profiles, contacts, instructions, documents, calendar events, and notification history linked to your account. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained and you retain full access until the end of your current billing period, after which editing access is suspended until the subscription is reactivated.

13. Third-Party Service Providers

Caregura relies on third-party service providers to deliver certain functionality. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. (for web subscriptions), RevenueCat (subscription management for the native mobile app), and Apple (in-app purchases for the iOS app via the App Store). Uploaded documents and files are stored using cloud infrastructure providers. Email notifications are delivered via third-party email services. Each of these providers operates under their own terms of service and privacy policies, which you are encouraged to review. Caregura is not responsible for the practices, security, or availability of these third-party providers.

14. No Absolute Security Guarantee

While Caregura takes reasonable measures to protect your data — including encryption in transit and at rest — no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You acknowledge that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is one hundred percent secure, and you accept the inherent risk associated with storing sensitive personal and medical information online.

15. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Caregura. By using the application, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you are legally capable of entering into binding agreements.

16. Subscription and Billing

Caregura is offered as a monthly subscription billed in advance via Stripe, in US dollars. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the recurring monthly fee to your chosen payment method until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain full access until that date. Fees for the current billing period are non-refundable. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice; any price change will apply to your next billing cycle following notification.

17. Privacy Policy

Your use of Caregura is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including the FTC Act and, for California residents, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). The Privacy Policy is available within the application and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

18. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Caregura only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the platform. You agree not to: • Use Caregura for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose. • Upload, store, or distribute any malicious software, viruses, malware, or other harmful code or content. • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, the Caregura platform, its systems, or any related infrastructure. • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the platform, its servers, or networks, or bypass any security or authentication measures. • Use the platform to store, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or otherwise objectionable. • Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform, or use automated tools to access it without our permission. Caregura may investigate and take action against any use that it believes violates these terms or applicable law.

19. Account Suspension and Termination

You may delete your own account and data at any time from the Subscription page, as described in the Data Retention section. In addition, we reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate any account — and remove or disable access to associated content — where we reasonably believe that the account or its use breaches these Terms, applicable law, or the Acceptable Use Policy, or is being used in a fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful manner, or in a way that may harm other users, third parties, or the operation of Caregura. Where practicable and lawful, we will attempt to notify you before taking such action, but we may suspend or terminate access immediately, without notice, where we consider it necessary to protect the platform, our users, or third parties, or to comply with a legal obligation. Upon termination by us for a breach of these Terms, you may forfeit any right to a refund of fees paid for the current billing period, to the extent permitted by law.

20. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of Caregura following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

21. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

If you have any questions about these Terms and Conditions, please contact the application administrator. Our Privacy Policy is also available within the application.
